Our Academics
Teaching the CBSE syllabus, from early years right up to the senior grades, is the part of our job you would expect at Chrysalis High, Bannerghatta Road. The part people do not always expect is how much of our attention goes to the child rather than the curriculum. Our teachers put real time into figuring out how each student actually learns, and among CBSE schools in Bannerghatta Road, that is the thing parents tell us they notice first.
A lot of it comes down to PUPA, short for Prior Understanding of Pupil's Attributes. Rather than charging ahead, teachers first get a feel for a child's strengths, what they are curious about, the way they tick, and it genuinely changes how that child is guided. In the younger classes, there is a two-main-teacher model too, so children always have familiar faces nearby, grown-ups who know them and stick around.
The teaching itself changes as they grow. Early Years are for play and exploring. The Primary Years lay down strong basics. In the Middle Years, we push children to question things and think for themselves, and by the Graduating Years it narrows towards board preparation. STEaM (AI Labs) runs through the lot, tying Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths together in hands-on projects, while Transition Blocks take the jolt out of moving from one stage to the next.
And when a child needs a little extra, the Individual Support Programme (ISP) is there for exactly that. CHAMPS and CRISP, meanwhile, hand students the room to chase interests and skills that have nothing to do with marks. Add it all up, and you get children who leave with a solid academic base, sure, but also more curious, more independent, and a good deal more confident.
