Our Academics
Learning at Horamavu runs on the CBSE curriculum, from the early years right up to the senior grades. But ask us what we actually think about most, and it is not the syllabus. It is the child sitting in front of us. Among the schools in Horamavu, that is what we have come to be known for, and it rests on a plain idea: get to know a child properly and teach them well.
PUPA is where that begins: Prior Understanding of Pupil's Attributes, to give it its full name. Before anyone settles on how to teach a child, our teachers take the time to learn what they are good at, what draws their interest, how they tick. In the younger years there is a two-main-teacher model too, so a child always has familiar, attentive faces close by rather than a rota of strangers.
And the teaching grows up right alongside your child. The Early Years lean on play. The Primary Years get the basics properly solid. By the Middle Years, we are nudging children to ask their own questions and then comes the Graduating Years and the focus turns squarely to board exam preparation. Threaded through all of it is STEaM (AI Labs), pulling Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths into one hands-on kind of learning, while Transition Blocks smooth out the jump between stages.
Nobody slips through the cracks, either. When a child needs a bit more, the Individual Support Program (ISP) is there to give it, while CHAMPS and CRISP carry their growth well past the classroom door. What you end up with is an education that keeps strong results and real curiosity in the same hand, one that prepares a child not just for exams, but for that far bigger test we call life.
